Many resources and tools that used to be only available in the library are now available through the library's computers or from your home. This means you can access these tools any time day or night at your convenience. You will use your 14-digit library card number for initial log on or registration. Use your computer, laptop, or mobile device to enjoy movies, audiobooks, tv shows, and music. Use your library card number to SIGN UP the first time you use it. After that you will use your e-mail address and the password you create to sign in. You can check out 4 titles/month and there are no waiting lists for any title! On your mobile device, download the Hoopla App from the App Store/Google Play Store.

Compatible with all e-readers, tablets, & smartphones. To sign-in/check out, use your 14-digit library card number. On mobile devices download the OverDrive Media Console App. For everything except Kindle you will also need to get a free OverDrive Account. To read Magazines from OverDrive you should download the Nook App on your mobile device and register for a free account with Barnes and Noble.

Read full-color magazines on your computer/laptop, smartphone, or tablet. How cool is that? Sign up for an account using your e-mail address and a password. For mobile devices, download the Zinio app from your app store. Start at the library's collection page, checkout magazine issues, and the issues will download into the Zinio app. When you open the app on your mobile device, sync it by signing in with your e-mail and password you created for your account and your magazines will be there to download. Magazine issues will be available immediately or within a short time (depending on connection speeds, etc.).

Browse recent, feature-length articles from popular magazines like Consumer Reports, Real Simple, The New Yorker, BusinessWeek, Outdoor Life, and many more. Choose a category and then browse recent articles. When you are asked for your patron ID, enter your 14-digit library card number.

Magazine & Journal Search:
Over 3,000 magazines and scholarly journals available to search.  Most articles are available in full text or .pdf form.  You can create lists of useful articles, e-mail or print articles and search specific magazines or journals.  This is a very expensive resource available to you for free!  Need a Consumer Reports article?  You can find it here.  Doing a report on the Middle East?  Find current articles here.  Want to read articles from the latest issue of the Atlantic Monthly?  Do it here.

Brain & Memory Workouts & Games:
  Keep your brain muscle strong with scientifically engineered games and exercises! With your own personal login you can set your baseline and then track your improvement in various areas like memory, brain speed, attention, and people skills.
 Login with your library card number (all 14 digits) and your PIN (the default password for your library card). If you need this information, give us a call at 772-4346 or visit the main page of the library catalog and read the information under the login boxes on the right-hand side.

Online Videos & Tutorials:
 Online video tutorials on software, business skills, communication, time management and much more. Even if you only have a half an hour, you can learn new skills! There are more than 3,400 courses (and climbing!) so we can't name every topic here but some of the most popular are basic PC skills, Microsoft Office software, digital photography, cloud computing, communication skills, time management, team building, writing resumes and cover letters, graphic design, and public speaking.

Sign up using your 14-digit library card number and PIN (the default PIN for your card is the last 4 digits - please contact the library for more information), and create a profile to track your learning.

Create Legal Documents:
  Create legal documents specific to NH Laws including documents for Wills/Power of Attorney, Sales/Transactions, Leasing/Renting/Real Estate, Business/Employment, Marriage/Cohabitation, Consent/Release, and more!  Law Depot guides you through every step of creating a document that conforms to your situation.  You will be able to print documents and return to previously created documents (like a rental agreement) to edit.

To register you will need your library card number and e-mail address.  Your e-mail address will be your user name and you will choose a password.

The best way to do well on any exam is practice, practice, practice. This resource gives you a chance to practice for almost any kind of exam from the SATs to the EMT. Your tests will be timed and scored so that you have a better idea of how to prepare. *Please pick up the user name and password at the library.

Genealogy Research:
Ancestry Library Edition
Use this tool to research your family history with access to census records, vital records, immigration records and maps and photos.  This database is only available on library computers, not from home.  You will find a shortcut to Ancestry on the desktops of the library's public computers.

Learn A Language:  
Whether you are planning a trip, traveling for business or studying a language and looking for more practice, this online language system by Transparent Language is one of the best.  You can work through a language instruction course at your own pace, concentrate on one aspect (vocabulary, grammar, or conversation), or learn about culture, business practices and history.  All for FREE!  
More than 70 languages.

You're used to it's excellent information, illustrations, maps and charts in print; You'll find this on-line version just as useful if not more so.
