Why not Adopt A Summer Reader?!
Every summer Wiggin Memorial Library strives to keep children connected with books and to entice them to visit the library during the Summer Reading Program. Research shows that reading throughout the summer is essential in combating “summer slide,” the tendency in the summer for students to lose some of the achievements they’ve made during the school year.

You are invited to participate in this endeavor by sponsoring our enthusiastic summer readers for 2015! We have programming for toddlers through 5th-Graders and will be exploring the world of heroes from fantasy to our community as well as the hero within us all! The number of participants increases every year. Last year 343 children signed up for the Summer Reading Program, logging 230,250 minutes of reading! As you can imagine, it costs a lot of money to offer programs for all those kids.

Please consider channeling your inner-hero by adopting some awesome super-readers by making a gift. All donations will be used to purchase materials for summer storytimes and workshops as well as incentive prizes for the summer reading drawing in August. Also, gifts to the library are fully tax deductible! Thank you for any help you can give us.
